We have been made aware of a great organisation called the National STEM centre. They hold the UK’s largest collection of STEM teaching and learning resources, in order to provide teachers of STEM subjects with the ability to access a wide range of high-quality support materials.
Do check out their website: http://www.nationalstemcentre.org.uk
One tool which is particularly useful for teachers is the ‘eLibrary’ part of their website where you can find lesson plans linked to STEM subjects. In particular they have a vast quantity of lesson plans linked to renewable technology and energy efficiency.
I particularly like the ‘power for the world’ lesson plan: http://www.nationalstemcentre.org.uk/elibrary/resource/11147/power-for-the-world-primary-resources
